Dog Safety Education for Schools

Our school programme is designed to give children the knowledge and confidence to safely interact with dogs in everyday life.

Through engaging, interactive sessions, we help children understand dogs, reduce fear, and prevent avoidable incidents.

How It Works

90-minute interactive sessions (shorter sessions for EYFS)

Delivered to individual year groups or assembly format 

Includes practical demonstrations

Opportunity to safely meet a trained  Bark Smart dog

Always Ask Before Stroking a Dog

Never approach or touch without permission.

Be Calm and
Gentle

Sudden movements or loud voices can scare dogs.

Never Disturb Dogs Eating or Sleeping

Give them quiet

space

Learn When a Dog Needs Space

Watch for growls, stiffening, or walking away.

If a Dog Runs Toward You

Be a Tree. Stand still, hands down, calm and quiet.
